INTERTWINED

A million ropes dangle down from the skies
where they are tethered on a single bridge.
Each rope a soul, each rope an essence,
each rope a symbol for what's you and me.

My rope is thin and short with many frays.
Your rope is hardy, strong and colorful.
I am swayed too easily by the slightest breeze
and you hold strong when the hurricane appears.

Intertwine with me and strangle me with love.
I will simply hold on to the passion you give.
Every thread will I give for you to hold,
so that out of the million we become as one.
