Keen on the
simple knowledge
that times spent
and managed
with a certain
playboy can
never really
amount to and
account for much of anything
even when planets start aligning
to shower both of
us with stars
that streak across
just to scar
the outer reaching
atmosphere
only to eventually
disappear
like the moments
that revolve
around what fate
has divulged
when people part
like a gentle sea
witnessing the way
you move me
under twinkling
lights of music
misunderstanding
this as specific
and find the
inevitable conclusion
of the perfect
make believe illusion
that another's strands
are gripped
and clearly tangled
in his fingertips
confirming silence means
I'm a pawn
and my good shot of
adrenaline gone.
